RCPD is currently investigating an aggravated robbery that took place in Ogden early Monday morning. No injuries were reported when police responded to the Casey’s General Store located at 329 Riley Avenue around 1:20 a.m. after a suspect brandished a firearm, and fled the scene with three packages of cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect in this robbery is described as a white male suspect standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches with a grey Nike headband, winter face cover, dark grey hooded sweatshirt, baggy jeans, and a belt with blue designs on it.

Detectives with the Riley County Police Department are now asking for the community’s assistance in furthering this investigation. If you have information on this crime contact RCPD directly at 785-537-2112.

As previously reported by KMAN, officers responded to reports of a female brandishing a firearm and firing shots at a residence located at 3303 Shady Valley Drive outside of the city limits of Manhattan at approximately 10:07 a.m. on Monday.

Officers arrived on scene and found that the suspect, now identified as 28-year old Shawn Nichole Muller, barricaded herself inside her home after firing a weapon in the backyard. Police made contact with Muller via telephone and communicated with her for several hours. At approximately 6:37 p.m., police were able to take Muller into custody with no significant injury. The neighborhood was then opened to normal traffic after residents had been cautioned throughout the day to avoid travel through the area.

Muller was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and the use of a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $20,000 dollars. In November, K-MAN reported 26-year old Nathan Karnopp had perished after a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head at this residence.

The Riley County Police Department was assisted by the Junction City Police Department, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Riley County Emergency Management, and Riley County EMS during this incident. The Riley County Police Department would also like to thank the American Red Cross for their assistance in providing accommodations for displaced residents and law enforcement personnel during this nearly 8 and a half hour long incident.
