    A Manhattan man faces probation violation after his arrest Monday. Michael Combs, 38, was taken into custody while at the Riley County Police Department. He was arrested and given a bond of $10,000 for the offense of probation violation which was listed on a warrant from Riley County.
    The original offense attached to this warrant was motion to revoke probation of parole for sexual exploitation of a child. Combs was sentenced in 2013 to nearly three years with the Kansas Department of Corrections, but granted probation, on a conviction involving sexual exploitation of a child.
    Combs was found guilty by a Riley county jury the previous year following an investigation involving possession of child pornography.

    Officers with the Riley County Police Department arrested a Manhattan man on a Cloud County probation violation warrant.   Zachary Daniel, 26, was taken into custody Monday morning and was given “no bond.” The arrest took place in the 300 block of Twykingham Place in Manhattan.

    Police in Riley County are investigating a report of vehicle theft in the 2000 block of Shirley Lane. Officers on the scene found Yihan Hao, 27, of Manhattan had a 2008 blue and grey Chrysler Sebring removed without her permission. The vehicle was parked and left unattended and there were no signs of forced entry.

    The total estimated loss is approximately $6,000. The vehicle has Kansas tags ending in “GMF.” Police ask that anyone with information on this crime contact the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers where they may remain anonymous and could qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
