    Updated 5:30 a.m. Wednesday:

As reported Tuesday afternoon by KMAN, two people were injured in an accident in the 5500 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard at South Dam Road.  Katherine Wilson, 20, and Brandon Galloway, 24, both of Manhattan were injured in the accident reported at 2:39 p.m. Tuesday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol indicates Wilson was driving a 2003 Chrysler P-T Cruiser westbound on U-S 24, with a ’95 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Billie Anderson, 54, of Wamego eastbound on 24. Wilson turned southbound onto South Dam Road and was struck by Anderson’s vehicle on the passenger side.

Wilson and Galloway, were originally taken to Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, although Riley County EMS Director Larry Couchman indicated the original plan was to fly both out to trauma centers from the scene, but the helicopter estimated time of arrival was extended. The two are listed as patients at Stormont Vail in Topeka (Wednesday).

Wilson and Anderson had seatbelts on, but Galloway did not.
