    Junction City Police investigating suspicious death

    The Junction City Police Department is investigating what it’s labeled a suspicious death.

    Officers were dispatched to 827 West 12th St., Apt. C, in  Junction City on Monday night after learning that a person was deceased at the location.

    Upon arrival, an unidentified white male was located inside of the apartment, deceased, from an apparent gunshot injury to the head.

    The case is being investigated as a suspicious death, and an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

    The police department is following up on investigative leads as they develop.
