The Manhattan High girls basketball team bounced back after a loss to Emporia last Friday night with a 44-30 win over Andale in the first round of the Mid America Classic in McPherson.

The Lady Indians (9-2) led 12-11 after the first quarter. They would outscore Andale (3-7) 16-7 in the second quarter to take a ten point lead at halftime. MHS would outscore Andale 16-12 in the second half.

The MHS defense forced 14 turnovers and held Andale to just 20% shooting in the game. Manhattan didn’t fare much better offensively shooting 30% in the game including knocking down four three’s.
