    RCPDMANHATTAN, KAN. – Police in Riley County arrested Jason Pearson, 35, of Wichita, Kansas on several warrants for failure to appear. Original offenses associated with these warrants were giving worthless check (X3). He was given a bond of $10,000.00 on one of these warrants and “no bond” on the additional two. At the time of this report Pearson was confined at the Riley County Jail. Pearson was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on January 14, 2016 at approximately 2:00 PM.

    Christean Ross, 27, of Manhattan was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear while at the Riley County Police Department on January 14, 2016 at approximately 4:45 PM. This warrant originated in Wyandotte County, Kansas and carried “no bond.” At the time of this report Ross was confined at the Riley County Jail.

    The Riley County Police Department arrested 3 Topeka, Kansas residents on January 14, 2016 at approximately 6:40 PM for the offense of theft while in the 800 block of Commons Place (Target) in Manhattan. Chance Crank, 20, was arrested for theft and given a bond of $3,000.00. He was confined at the time of this report. Trisha Jones, 37, was arrested and is still confined in the Riley County Jail for the offense of theft (X3). Jones was given a bond of $9,000.00 for these offenses. Todd Anderson, 50, was also arrested and given a bond of $3,000.00 for the offense of theft. Anderson was also confined at the time of this report. Approximately $1,985.00 worth of merchandise was recovered.

    An officer with the Riley County Police Department was struck in the face with a closed fist as he and other officers attempted to stop a physical altercation in the 1200 block of Moro Street. Police arrested Trevoun Thomas, 25, of Junction City, Kansas for the offenses of battery of a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and interference with law enforcement. He was given a total bond of $3,000.00 and at the time of this report was no longer confined at the Riley County Jail. The officer did not receive serious injury. Also arrested was Jonathan Jackman, 21, of Fort Riley, Kansas. Jackman was arrested on the offense of disorderly conduct and given a bond of $1,000.00. Jackman was still confined at the time of this report.
