A Manhattan man who was pursued on foot by Riley County police officers into City Park and apprehended by the use of TASER following a shooting in Aggieville during the early morning hours of May 3 was in the Riley County District Courthouse for pretrial procedures Tuesday afternoon.

Mark Self, 31, pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted first degree in September.

Self allegedly shot 26-year-old Kevin Green of Manhattan at 1:20 a.m. in the 600 block of North 12th Street. A second victim, 19-year-old Jeremy Caudill of Fort Riley, sustained minor injury as a result of shrapnel from gunfire and did not require medical attention. Green was released from medical care hours after the incident.

Jury selection will be on Jan. 28 at 8:30 a.m.
