The Little Apple had the weather car show lovers (and entrants) dream of Saturday.

Nearly 200 cars and trucks of various years, models and function were on display during a warm and sunny afternoon in Manhattan’s City Park for the 26th Annual Yard Art Classics Car Show.

The event is organized by the local Yard Art Classics Car Club.

“This is absolutely the most gorgeous day you can have,” David Adams, the president of the club, said. “Perfect day for a car show.

“We have some really nice cars here, old ones and new ones. If it has wheels, we like to see it.”

Adams said nearly all of the proceeds from the entrees go to good causes, including the Flint Hills Breadbasket, the Manhattan Emergency Shelter, the Big Lakes Foundation and the Fort Riley Wounded Solider Program.

“It’s a good way to come out and enjoy the day and provide for these nonprofit organizations,” Adams said.
