Two men were sentenced and a jury trial was set for another in Pottawatomie County Court Thursday. Jarvis Clark was sentenced to 24 months with the Department of Corrections  for discharge of a firearm in an occupied building…as well as six months with DOC for aggravated endangering of a child. Clark was arrested in April after a reported domestic disturbance in which a caller reported gunshots had been fired at a home on East Webster Street in Louisville.
Also Thursday, a Westmoreland man received an eight month sentence with the Department of Corrections for aggravated battery. Travis Conder was found guilty by a jury following a three and a half day jury trial last month. Conder was arrested last August following a shooting in Westmoreland in the 100 block of South Fourth Street. Two individuals suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds were found by Pottawatomie county Sheriff’s Deputies on the early Sunday morning the shooting was reported.
And a December Jury trial has been set for Martin Johnson, 39, of Wamego on charges which include aggravated incest. Johnson was arrested last month at 4400 River Pond road, which is in Tuttle Creek State Park just north of Manhattan. The victim was reportedly between the ages of 16 and 18. Johnson’s arrest warrant includes two offenses of aggravated incest and furnishing alcohol to a minor. His pretrial hearing is set for November 29th, with jury trial to begin December second. Bond remains at $75,000.
