    The Riley County Police Department is investigating an alleged rape that occurred in the city limits of Manhattan at approximately 2:30 AM on September 25. Police listed the victim as being a 24-year-old female and the suspect, who was known to her, is listed as being a 19-year-old male. Officers noted that the suspect inappropriately touched the victim without consent. No arrests had been made at the time of this report and officers continue to investigate.

    Police arrested Calvin Conway, 52, of Wichita, Kansas on September 26 on the three offenses of theft of property or services, which were listed on a warrant from Riley County. Conway was also arrested on the offense of forgery which was listed on a separate warrant. He was given a total bond of $10,000.

    Kimberly Ebert, 37, of Manhattan was arrested for failure to appear which was listed on the original offense listed as criminal trespassing. She was arrested shortly after noon on September 26 and given no bond.

    Briggs Auto became the victim of a theft after a customer refused to return a vehicle that she had in her possession. No arrests have been made and officers continue to investigate the matter. The total estimated loss for the 2009 Dodge Charger is listed as being $9,876

    A green and black 1990 Yamaha XT350 belonging to 23-year-old Rebecca Keating of Manhattan was removed without permission from the 200 block of N. 14th Street. Currently, suspects are unknown and police ask anyone with information to contact the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. The total estimated loss is listed as being $1,000.
