    Storms delay K-State-Missouri State kickoff

Lightning and heavy rain at Bill Snyder Family Stadium have delayed Saturday evening’s kickoff between Kansas State and Missouri State.

K-State made the delay announcement around 5:15 p.m., around one hour before scheduled kickoff at 6:10. Scattered storms remain a possibility through the rest of the evening, though they are not expected to be severe.

Kickoff is expected approximately 90 minutes after the last lightning strike within ten miles of the stadium.

Neither school wants to move the game to another day, according to a K-State official, and there is no mutual open date for the rest of this season. Cancelation is also highly unlikely.

KMAN will continue to provide details as soon as they are available.

UPDATE (6:01 p.m.): K-State officials have announced they plan to start the game at 7:05 p.m., barring no more lightning in the area.
