Officers with the Riley County Police Department arrested Tieler Reeves, 19, of Westmoreland, Kansas on October 26, 2016, at approximately 10:00 AM. Reeves was arrested on the offense of probation violation and given a bond of $10,000.00. The original offense listed on this warrant was conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery. Reeves was confined at the Riley County Jail at the time of this report. This arrest took place in the 800 block of Church Ave. in Manhattan.

Jeffrey Hughes, 43, of Manhattan, was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department on October 27, 2016, at approximately 1:30 AM. Hughes was arrested on the offense of failure to appear which was listed on a warrant from Sedgwick County, Kansas. This warrant had a bond of $93,600.00 and at the time of this report Hughes was confined at the Riley County Jail.

A recent spike in vehicle burglaries on the west side of Manhattan has caused the department to remind the community to remove valuables from and secure vehicles. RCPD also encourages the community to report suspicious activity. Anyone with information on these vehicle burglaries is asked to contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Those using the Crime Stoppers service can remain anonymous and could qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
