The charges against a 22 year old man have been upgraded, with the Riley County Attorney formerly charging John Gaver with nine counts of criminal sodomy.
As KMAN first reported early Thursday, Garver faces several sex related crime charges after his arrest Wednesday evening.. Thursday’s Riley County Police activity report released later Thursday morning indicated Gaver was taken into custody Wednesday on 6 counts of criminal sodomy with a child and 4 counts of indecent solicitation of a child. Again, that’s been updated to nine counts of criminal sodomy.
Bond has been set at 160-thousand dollars.The charges listed appear to indicate an age for the alleged victim to be around 15-years-old.

A 22-year-old Manhattan man faces several sex crime charges after his arrest Wednesday evening. John Gaver was taken into custody at 7 p.m. at the Riley County Police Law Enforcement Center on Seth Child on six counts of criminal sodomy with a child and four counts of indecent solicitation of a child. Gaver’s charges include criminal sodomy and indecent solicitation of a child. Bond has been set at $160,000. The charges listed appear to indicate an age for the alleged victim to be around 15-years-old.
