    RCPD activity report 7/24/17

    Riley County Police Officers responded to a report of an injury accident at the intersection of Westwood Rd. and Oak St. Friday at approximately 5:41 PM. On Monday’s RCPD activity report,  police say when officers arrived on scene, they found an overturned  Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by William Bartnick, 22, of Fort Riley.
    Bartnick reported he had swerved to avoid an Oldsmobile Alero, driven by Ashley Dean, 27, of Manhattan. Bartnick was transported by EMS to Via Christi for treatment of his injuries. No citations were issued at the scene.

    Riley County Police Officers filed a report for aggravated battery , described as domestic related, in the city of Manhattan this past Saturday. Officers listed a 19 year old female as the victim when she reported a 27 year old male known to her strangled her.

    Due to the nature of the report filed, no additional information will be released.

    An Ogden man apparently faces Indiana charges.  Matthew Lee, 28 of Ogden was arrested by Riley County Police in the 500 block of Richards Dr. Saturday morning. Lee was arrested on an Indiana Department of Corrections warrant for Parole Violation. Lee was issued no bond.

    A Texas man was arrested at the Riley County Police Department on several charges early Saturday evening.

    Eladio Alvarez Jr., 38, of Harlingen, Texas, was arrested for making a false writing, theft, criminal trespass and three counts of failure to appear.

    At the time of this report, Alvarez is confined in the Riley County Jail on a bond of over $23,000.

    A Topeka woman was arrested for failure to appear.

    Faith Morehead, 48, was taken into custody just after the noon hour Friday at the Riley County Police Department.

    Morehead remains confined in the Riley County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

    A homeless woman was arrested Friday afternoon for probation violation.

    Renee Nemeth, 43, was taken in custody at the Riley County Police Department on a $10,000 bond.

    She remains confined at the time of this report.
