    RCPD Daily Activity Report 7/27/17

    Three large thefts were reported in the Manhattan area on Wednesday.

    Several saws, a welder, miscellaneous Dewalt brand tools, and a generator were stolen from a building in the 2100 block of W. 52nd Ave. at approximately 10:15 AM. Officers listed 33-year-old Andrew Miksch of Wamego as the victim. The total loss associated with this case is approximately $6,500.

    Officers also filed a report for theft at approximately 4:15 PM, when it was reported that two unknown suspects took approximately $5,000 worth of Nike clothing from Dick’s Sporting Goods.

    Finally, a burglary in the 2100 block of Elm Street was reported shortly before midnight last night. Officers listed 35-year-old Darrel Booker and 19-year-old and Jaeda Johnson, both of Manhattan, as the victims when they reported that an unknown suspect took 3 rifles and 5 handguns from his residence. The total loss associated with this case totals over $7,700.

    Police ask that anyone with information about any of these crimes contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
