    Shakeer Davis

Several area cases are up for public comment in lists just released by the Kansas Department of Corrections.

    Shakeer Davis

Shakeer Davis, 38,who was convicted of murder in the first degree and other charges in 1997, is on the public comment list for March of 2018, prior to an April parole hearing. Davis is one of three people convicted in connection with the February 1997 murder in Riley County of Wanda Norman at her home at Countryside estates.

In addition to murder, Davis also faces convictions of attempted murder, aggravated robbery, and aggravated burglary. The other two convicted in connection with the case were Delisha Branch,46, and  Durreal Campbell, 37. Campbell’s earliest possible release is in March of 2018.

    Terry Kirchoff

Also on the March public comment list is Terry Kirchoff, 52, who was convicted in Geary County in 1987 of involuntary manslaughter. Kirchoff is also serving time on Lyon county convictions of rape and aggravated burglary.

Public comment sessions are March fifth at Kansas City’s City Hall, March 14th in Derby, and March 16th at the Topeka Municipal court house.

    Alex Mackey

And on the February 2018 public comment offender list is Alex Mackey, 59, who was convicted of theft in Geary County in 1983. Mackey has numerous other convictions including aggravated robbery and burglaries in Sedgwick, Atchison, and Finney counties. His parole hearing is set for March.
