Riley County USD 378 school board members said goodbye to two of their own, with a Farewell reception for Kerry Thurlow and Ross Wahl, who have each been board members for four years.

The board Monday night also accepted Erik Willimon’s resignation as the grades 7-12 athletic director at the end of the 2017-18 school year, hired Zach Stout as the middle school boys assistant basketball coach and directed Superintendent Cliff Williams to advertise for grades 7-8 and 9-12 athletic directors. Principal contracts for 2018-19 & 19-20 were approved for Teresa Grant and Harold Oliver.

USD 378 board members approved the purchase of the grade school east parking lot pole package from V & V Electric for a little more than 82-hundred dollars and approved two early graduation requests and an out of district student request for the second semester.

New board members Nathan Mead, Justin Ricketts, and Samantha Brown will be attending a new board member workshop on January 12th at the Kansas Association of School Boards along with Supt. Cliff Williams.
