U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue is spending a few hot days in Kansas this week, and he has a full schedule on Wednesday. The Secretary will be participating in the Kansas Agriculture Roundup to be held Wednesday at the River Creek Farms at 7280 Zeandale Road. Also joining Secretary Perdue will be Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer, and US Senators Pat Roberts and Jerry Moran. The invitation-only event is not open to the public.

Secretary Perdue will also be participating in a Q & A conversation Wednesday evening, along with Governor Colyer and local agriculture leaders and producers. This conversation will be held at the Kansas Department of Agriculture office at 1320 Research Drive in Manhattan, beginning at 5 PM.

Governor Colyer will also be introducing Secretary Perdue at the state’s FFA convention. The Secretary will speak to several hundred future farmers at McCain Auditorium on the K-State campus beginning at 8:30 PM.
