A man was taken to Via Christi hospital on Wednesday after falling from the saddle of his motorcycle near Manhattan according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Jeremy Scott, a 31-year-old from Junction City, was riding eastbound on K-18 with a convoy at 9:30 a.m. when he lost control of his bike.

The group came to a sudden stop causing Scott to lay down his motorcycle to avoid a collision and fall from the seat. According to KHP, Scott was not wearing a helmet at the time.

He was riding as part of a convoy with the Vietnam Memorial replica known as “The Wall That Heals” on route to Wamego.
