OGDEN — Friends, family and supporters of the Meiss family gathered Sunday evening outside the Ogden Friendship House for a candlelight vigil.

Ashley Meiss, an Army veteran, has been missing since May 18.

Ashley’s father, Tom Lewis, said they can not give out specifics due to the pending investigation, but he told KMAN there was some information he could share about when she went missing. Meiss was last seen May 18 — a Friday — at Rock House Bar in Ogden with two older males. Lewis said there have been no financial transactions made by Meiss since.

“According to her roommate at the time, she went for a run, May 17, Thursday evening, and never returned home,” Lewis said. “All her personal items were left at the house; her car, her I.D., her credit cards, debit cards, phone, everything was left at her apartment.”

It has been 73 days since she went missing. Lewis expressed frustration .

“We know that people are being untruthful with us, and because of that we are very suspicious that there has been foul play,” he said. “We know that if someone is going to be untruthful with you, that they have something to hide. And we will find the truth — we will not stop until we find the truth.”

According to Riley County Police Department, Meiss is 5-foot-4, weighs approximately 140 pounds, has brown hair and eyes, tattoos on her arms, right leg, back and chest. More information can be found on the Bring Ash Home Facebook page.

Authorities ask that if anyone has any information concerning the disappearance or location of Meiss, contact the Riley County Police Department at 785-537-2112 or Crime Stoppers at 785-539-7777. There is a $6,000 cash reward for information leading to her whereabouts.
