High winds caused damage across Manhattan Friday afternoon.
Wind gusts of 80 mph were recorded in the Little Apple, taking down trees, limbs and a traffic light on Poyntz.
Riley County Emergency Management Director Pat Collins tells me a majority of the wind/storm damage is in Manhattan. Few damage reports outside of town.

Please avoid the intersection of Juliette and Poyntz Avenue if possible. Storm damage has knocked over the eastbound signal pole. Crews are working to install a temporary signal and the intersection is being treated like a 4-way stop until then. pic.twitter.com/lzUsiHoUwO

The winds also knocked out power at Manhattan City Hall.
Power was restored to City Hall last night around 6:30. We are open for business!

No injuries have been reported.
