The Shot Stop in Wamego was robbed late Friday night, according to the Wamego Police Department.

Officials said the convenience store on Highway 24 was robbed by two male suspects at approximately 11:50 p.m. The armed suspects then fled and were seen heading South from the store on foot.

WPD told KMAN that the incident is under investigation and they could not provide any further details at this time.

They are asking that anyone with information on the crime or the suspects call the department at (785) 456 – 9553.

This is the latest in a string of similar recent robberies in the area, including 4 that occurred in Manhattan in the last quarter according to RCPD Director Brad Schoen.
