    Timmy McGathy, 30, of Manhattan was arrested while in the 400 block of South 6th St. in Manhattan on September 6, 2018 at approximately 9:05 AM. McGathy was arrested on offenses of distribute opiate/narcotic/certain stimulant and distribute or possess paraphernalia within 1000′ ft. of a school. McGathy was issued a total bond of $20,000.00 causing him to remain confined at the time of this report.
    Officers filed a report for theft and criminal damage to property in the 3100 block of Winston Pl in Manhattan on September 6, 2018 at approximately 4:00 PM. Officers listed Jetz Service Co as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect took change and accessories from washer and dryer vaults. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $740.00. Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
    Officers filed a report for attempted theft in the 100 block of Manhattan Town Center in Manhattan on September 6, 2018 at approximately 5:45 PM. Officers listed JC Penney as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect attempted to take  jewelry from the store. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,500.00. The jewelry was recovered. Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
