The Riley County Police Department said in a release that a traffic collision in Northern Riley County Thursday morning involved a Fort Riley military vehicle.
The military vehicle and a civilian pick-up truck collided head on at approximately 6:40 a.m. east of Riley on the 9500 block of Madison Road. Highway 24 just west of Highway 77 junction shut down for an hour as a result.
The driver of the pick-up was transported by Riley County EMS to Via Christi Hospital. His injuries were reported to be non-life threatening. No one in the military vehicle sustained any injuries.
