    Officers responded to the report of a medical call in the 1800 block of Anderson in Manhattan on October 19, 2018, at approximately 4:40 AM. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 21 year old male deceased. Investigators do not suspect foul play at this time. The death does not appear to be suspicious. We are in the process of notifying next of kin. An autopsy will be scheduled.
    Officers filed a report for theft in the 400 block of N 5th St. in Manhattan on October 18, 2018 at approximately 7:00 PM. Officers listed Christopher Hartmann, 40, of Manhattan as the victim when he reported an unknown suspect took his Kayak Bicycle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $900.00. Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
    Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property and theft in the 1200 block of Bluemont Ave. in Manhattan on October 19, 2018 at approximately 2:33 AM. Officers listed Frontier Property Management as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect damaged a front door, frame and molding at the business. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $750.00. Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
    Brexton Everett, 26, of Manhattan was arrested while in the 300 block of N 3rd St. in Manhattan on October 19, 2018 at approximately 1:30 AM. Everett was arrested on offenses of possession of opiate, opium,  narcotic or certain stimulant, use/possess with the intent to use drug paraphernalia, ignition interlock device, possession of stolen property and driving while suspended. Everett was issued a total bond of $5,500.00 causing him to remain confined at the time of this report.
