    Mall to host holiday tubas, Santa visits this weekend

    The Manhattan Town Center is hosting a pair of holiday-themed events this weekend. 

    On Saturday, there will be two performances as part of the Holiday Music Festival which features various local artists. The Geary County Children’s Choir will perform at 1 p.m and the Manhattan Tuba Christmas, featuring 55 tubas, will be perform at 3 p.m. All performances will be in the East Court. 

    Then on Sunday, Santa Cares returns to the mall for the third year. Santa Cares is held in partnership with Autism Speaks. The event offers children with autism and special needs a chance to meet Santa in an environment that is accomodating of their sensory, phsyical and developmental needs.  Santa Cares runs from 10 a.m. to noon. Visits with Santa are free and photo packages are available for purchase.

    Space is limited so families are encouraged to reserve their visits in advance. Reservations can be made on the Manhattan Town Center website.
