Original story:

Slick roads are expected to stick around for the night as a winter weather advisory is now in effect for the entire area until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

This morning in Riley County, local law enforcement reported freezing rain on slick roads southeast of Keats. In Pottawatomie County a number of slide offs have been reported in the northwestern part of the county near Onaga (Oh-NAY-guh), including two school buses. According to the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, no injuries were reported.

The weather has also led to a number of closures in the area, in addition to road closures.

Road closures include:

I-70 from Hwy 177 interchange west to the Chapman interchange in Dickinson County. Hwy 177 is being described as impassable heading out of town.

K-18 west from Seth Child to Ogden. RCPD is anticipating eastbound traffic there may close tonight as well.

Ehlers Road is closed from Juliette and Ratone to Tuttle Creek Blvd.

Tuttle Creek Blvd is closed from Marlatt to Hwy 13.

Hwy 24 in Pottawatomie County is closed from Onaga Rd. east to Schoeman Rd.
