Officers filed a report for theft and forgery in the 500 block of Grainfield in Manhattan on April 8, 2019, at approximately 10:30 AM. Officers listed Autumn Melson, 21 of Manhattan as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect took a check and obtained cash. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $558.00. Police ask that anyone with information please contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.

Officers filed a report for burglary in the 1900 block of Avery in Manhattan on April 8, 2019, at approximately 1:15 PM. Officers listed Emily Koop, 25 of Abilene and Kansas Corn Growers of Manhattan as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect took her purse and cash. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $951.00. Police ask that anyone with information please contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.

Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on April 8, 2019, at approximately 4:30 PM. Officers listed a 23-year-old female as the victim and an unknown male as the suspect. Due to the nature of the crime reported, no further information will be released.

Officers filed a report for theft in the 1200 block of Moro in Manhattan on April 8, 2019, at approximately 4:50 PM. Officers listed Addison Dougan, 21 of Manhattan as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect took her iPhone 8 plus. The estimated total loss associated with this report is approximately $700.00. Police ask that anyone with information please contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.

Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property and minor in consumption of alcohol in the 1100 block of Pioneer in Manhattan on April 8, 2019, at approximately 10:25 PM. Officers listed Brandon Dougan, 25 of Manhattan and the City of Manhattan as the victims when it was reported a known male suspect damaged a TV. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $800.00.

Benjamin Jones III, 34 of Manhattan was arrested in the 300 block of Bluemont in Manhattan on April 8, 2019, at approximately 9:40 PM. Jones was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for rape, aggravated burglary, aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated sexual battery. Jones was issued a total bond of $100,000.00. Jones was still confined at the time of this report.

Anthony Johnson, 34 of Manhattan was arrested in the 3400 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd in Manhattan on April 9, 2019, at approximately 12:50 AM. Johnson was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. Johnson was issued a total bond of $5,000.00. Johnson was still confined at the time of this report.
