    Man critically injured in Wichita house fire

    WICHITA, Kan. — Authorities in Wichita say a man is in critical condition after being pulled from a house fire on Saturday.

    Television station KAKE reports that the fire was reported around noon Saturday in the southwestern part of the city. Arriving firefighters found the home and a car engulfed in flames, and crews soon found a man who had suffered burns.

    The man was taken to a Wichita hospital with critical injuries. Investigators are trying to find out what caused the fire.
