Whiskey and War Stories: Former Green Beret portrayed in “12 Strong” to make appearance in Wamego

Fans of the movie “12 Strong” may want to mark their calendars for February 13th.

Kansas native and former Green Beret Maj. Mark Nutsch will be making an appearance at the Columbian Theatre in Wamego for Whiskey and War Stories.

Nutsch was part of the “Horse Soldier” military unit that was featured in the 2018 major motion picture “12 Strong” starring Chris Hemsworth.

Those in attendance will get to see a presentation about the “Horse Soldiers” mission.

Nutsch shares some of the events in which his unit was involved.

Those in attendance will also get a chance to participate in a tasting of Horse Soldier Bourbon.

Horse Soldier Bourbon is produced by American Freedom Distillery.

Nutsch says American Freedom Distillery is the result of a group veterans deciding to become entrepreneurs.

So, the company that makes Horse Soldier Bourbon was formed by veterans.

This means it’s only fitting that the bottle should be shaped by something connected to the Horse-Soldier mission, right?

Nutsch explains:

Whiskey and War Stories is just one opportunity to meet Nutsch and get a look at Horse Soldier Bourbon.

Nutsch says there will be a couple more chances in the days that follow.

Whiskey and War Stories is a ticketed event.

Ticket-sale proceeds will go to a charity chosen by American Freedom Distillery that benefits special-forces veterans.

Those interested in attending the Whiskey and War Stories event can purchase tickets at columbiantheatre.com.

More information about Horse Soldier Bourbon can be found at americanfreedomdistillery.com.
