The National Bio and Agro-defense Facility could potentially play a role in novel-coronavirus research.
NBAF Coordinator Ken Burton says although the facility largely deals with animal diseases, it can play a support role in human-disease research.
He says NBAF could also help with vaccine research even if it didn’t play a direct role.
According to Burton, novel coronavirus looks to have come from an animal source.
