MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on June 6, 2020, at approximately 2:15 AM. Officers listed a 20-year-old female as the victim and an unknown male as the suspect. Due to the nature of the crime reported, no additional information will be released.
Officers filed a report for aggravated assault in the 1200 block of Bluemont Ave. in Manhattan on June 5, 2020, at approximately 5:55 PM. Officers listed a 34-year-old male as the victim when he reported a known 23-year-old male brandished a firearm in a road rage incident. Walberto Cartagena, of Junction City, was arrested on an offense of aggravated assault. Cartagena was issued a total bond of $5,000.00. Cartagena was not confined at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for domestic criminal damage to property in Manhattan on June 7, 2020, at approximately 12:30 AM. Officers listed a 21-year-old female as the victim when she reported a known 26-year-old male damaged her phone. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $850.00.
Officers filed a report for aggravated sexual battery and criminal deprivation of property in Manhattan on June 6, 2020, at approximately 8:10 PM. Officers listed a 24-year-old female as the victim and a known 61-year-old male as the suspect. Due to the nature of the crime reported, no additional information will be released.
Officers filed a report for theft in the 1900 block of Fort Riley Boulevard on June 6, 2020, at approximately 5:25 pm. Officers listed Reptile World as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect took 2 American Alligators approximately 5 ft in length from the business.
