    The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police.  Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further.  Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    MANHATTAN, KAN. –

    Officers filed a report for aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct near the intersection of N 9th St and Thurston St in Manhattan on September 16, 2020, at approximately 5:59 pm. Officers listed a 44-year-old male and the City of Manhattan as the victims and a 27-year-old male and a 44-year-old male as the suspects when it was reported he tried to stab him with a knife and damaged his vehicle and then another male was disorderly.
    Officers filed a report for aggravated assault in the 2200 block of College Ave in Manhattan on September 16, 2020, at approximately 8:58 pm. Officers listed a 32-year-old male, a 35-year-old male, a 20-year-old male, a 23-year-old female, a 25-year-old male, and a 20-year-old male as the victims when it was reported an unknown male stated he would shoot them. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
    Officers filed a report for aggravated battery and battery in the 200 block of Riley Ave in Ogden on September 16, 2020, at approximately 9:55 pm. Officers listed a 35-year-old female and a 27-year-old male as the victims and a 27-year-old male and a 35-year-old female as the suspects when it was reported she struck him and he injured her with a chair. Antwajuane McNeil, 27 of Ogden was arrested in connection on the offense of aggravated battery. McNeil was issued a total bond of $5,000.00 causing him to remain confined at the time of this report.
    Officers filed a report for sexual battery and lewd and lascivious in Manhattan on September 17, 2020, at approximately 12:32 am. Officers listed a 33-year-old female as the victim and a 33-year-old male as the suspect. Due to the nature of the crime reported, no additional information will be released.
