WICHITA, Kan. — The state’s largest school district in Wichita has overturned its decision to call off all fall sports because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Wichita Eagle reports that the Board of Education for the 50,000-student district voted Tuesday to allow the sports to continue with some restrictions.
The biggest is that during the season of the sport/activity, and for two weeks following, students will agree to participate in remote learning, which all sixth- through 12th-grade students were already required to take part in to begin the school year anyway.
