Riley County is reporting 29 new positive cases of COVID-19 and 11 recoveries since Friday’s report.

This brings the total number of active cases in Riley County to 100 and recoveries to 2,029.

12 of the 29 new cases involve people who are 18 to 24 years old.

Riley County also currently has seven active outbreaks, three of which could potentially expire this week.

Ascension Via Christi Hospital is caring for one COVID-19 positive patient at this time.

Pottawatomie County currently has 33 active cases, one COVID-19 related hospitalization and a total of 375 recoveries.

The Riley County Health Department is currently hosting drive-up flu shots.

Patients who have health insurance will have their insurance companies billed for the injection directly.

Those without health insurance will need to pay $20 for the injection and won’t need to pay for the full price of the vaccine.

Flu-vaccine appointments can be scheduled by calling RCHD at 785-776-4779 ext. 7675 or by visiting rileycountyks.gov/flu.
