    The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police.  Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further.  Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    MANHATTAN, KAN. – 

    Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 1100 block of Yuma St. in Manhattan on November 20, 2020, at approximately 4:36 p.m. Officers listed a 61-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect had damaged the hood of her vehicle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $500.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report for burglary in the 400 block of McCall Rd. in Manhattan on November 20, 2020, at approximately 4:33 p.m. Officers listed a 79-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect broke into a storage unit and stole a black Starlite trailer. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,000.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report for criminal use of a financial card and theft in the 1000 block of N. 5th St. in Manhattan on November 21, 2020, at approximately 8:12 a.m. Officers listed Dillons, Navy Federal Credit Union, and a 28-year-old male as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect entered a car and stole a Fossil wallet and a Sony A6400 Digital Camera, then used a debit card from the stolen wallet at Dillons.     Officers filed a report for theft in the 1800 block of Anderson Ave. in Manhattan on November 21, 2020, at approximately 10:42 a.m. Officers listed a 20-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole his white 2008 Chevrolet Cruze.     Officers filed a report for aggravated assault in the 400 block of S. 4th St. in Manhattan on November 22, 2020, at approximately 2:23 a.m. Officers a 42-year-old male as the victim when it was reported a 38-year-old male known to him as the suspect threatened him with a knife.

    Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on November 22, 2020, at approximately 7:24 a.m. Officers listed a 22-year-old female as the victim and a 21-year-old male known to her as the suspect. Due to the nature of the crime reported, no additional information will be released.

    Officers filed a report for burglary in the 1100 block of Kearney St. in Manhattan on November 22, 2020, at approximately 8:24 a.m. Officers listed a 20-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole a MacBook laptop, textbooks, and an UnderArmor backpack from his car. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,200.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report for theft in the 2500 block of Bellerive Dr. in Manhattan on November 22, 2020, at approximately 3:13 p.m. Officers listed a 26-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole a black S&W M&P 9mm handgun and a grey DJI Mavic Pro drone with accessories. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,200.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report for theft in the 1200 block of Bertrand St. in Manhattan on November 22, 2020, at approximately 6:47 p.m. Officers listed a 20-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole his matte black Moma 8 speed mountain bicycle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $600.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.
