Riley County is reporting 114 new positive COVID-19 cases and 73 recoveries since Wednesday.

This puts the county’s total number active cases at 473 and recoveries at 2,670.

Ascension Via Christi Hospital is currently caring for six COVID-19 positive patients and four persons under investigation.

1,492 people took part in the free testing events at CiCo Park this week, with 509 being tested on Monday and 983 on Thursday.

There will be no free testing event during the week of Thanksgiving, but free testing will resume the following week on Dec. 3.

According to the Riley County Health Department, gatherings of 50 people or more require an event permit. All participants at such events must wear face coverings unless they are eating or drinking.

Indoor events are limited to either 50 people or 15 percent of the setting’s capacity, whichever is more.

Event permits are available at rileycountyks.gov/coronavirus.
