A second arrest has been made in connection to an ongoing rape investigation involving a minor.

Riley County Police on Friday charged 19-year-old Zelond Benymon, Fort Riley in connection to three counts of rape and two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy. Police filed an initial report Nov. 24 after a 12-year-old victim came forward to police.

Benymon is jailed on a $350,000 bond.

Earlier this week police charged 23-year-old Tavian Garrett of Manhattan with five counts of rape and five counts of aggravated criminal sodomy in connection to the investigation. Garrett also remains jailed on a $350,000 bond.

Due to the nature of the crimes, no additional information will be released.
