Officers filed a report for theft in the 1700 block of Fair Ln. in Manhattan on March 8, 2021, at approximately 12:18 p.m. Officers listed a 51-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole three wheels with Michelin tires off his van. Officers filed a report for theft and criminal damage to property in the 500 block of Fort Riley Blvd. in Manhattan on March 8, 2021, at approximately 4:20 p.m. Officers listed SS Edison LLC as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole a catalytic converter from a company vehicle. Officers filed a report for lewd and lascivious behavior, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia in Manhattan on March 8, 2021, at approximately 8:59 p.m. Officers listed a 24-year old female as the victim and 30-year-old male as the suspect. Due to the nature of this crime, no further information will be released.
Officers responded to the report of a single vehicle fatality crash in the 1800 block of Anderson Ave. on March 9, 2021, at approximately 10:45 p.m. When officers arrived on scene they found a 2000 Toyota Celica driven by Jason Bly, 37, of Manhattan had crossed over traffic while heading westbound and struck a retaining wall. Bly was pronounced deceased on scene. Due to the ongoing investigation, no further information is available at this time.
