    Riley County confirms 28 new COVID-19 positive cases, 16 recoveries

    Riley County has confirmed 28 new positive COVID-19 cases and 16 recoveries since April 7.
    This brings the county’s total number of active cases to 40.
    The percent positive rate for the week of April 7 was 2.1 percent, or 33 positive cases out of 1,582 total tests.
    Ascension Via Christi is caring for one COVID-19 positive patient in the Intensive Care Unit at this time.
    RCHD will administer first vaccine doses at the Riley County Health Department Family and Child Resource Center at 2101 Claflin Rd. this week.
    It will administer second doses at Pottorf Hall in CiCo Park on Thursday and at the Wefald Pavilion in City Park on Friday.
    So far, 12,984 Riley County residents have been fully vaccinated while 7,625 have received one of two doses.
