Gov. Laura Kelly was in attendance Tuesday at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new Manhattan beverage shipping company.
Bev-Hub, a Wichita-based beverage canning, labeling and shipping company, has officially opened its doors and is now the home of 37 new jobs.
Kelly says the new facility is a great example of economic development in Kansas.

Mayor Wynn Butler says the company’s potential for growth and creation of new jobs will benefit Manhattan.

According to Bev-Hub founder Dan McDonald, it made sense for Manhattan to be the home of his company’s next location.
He says city’s location in the middle of the United States and proximity to Kansas State University have directly benefited his business.

Even though Bev-Hub just recently opened, McDonald is already talking about potentially expanding the Manhattan facility at some point in the future.
