TOPEKA, Kan. — Topeka police say a 17-year-old girl who was shot over the holiday weekend has died from her injuries.
Police announced Tuesday that Navaeh Martinez, who was shot late Saturday, had died. A 21-year-old suspect, Daisha Butler, was arrested Sunday. She is being held in the Shawnee County jail on updated potential charges of first-degree murder and aggravated battery.
Police have not released any other information about the shooting.
