    AP: Lawrence police investigate death in store’s parking lot

    LAWRENCE, Kan. — Lawrence police are investigating a death in the parking lot of a grocery store.

    Lawrence police spokesman Patrick Compton said officers were called to a Dillons grocery store Wednesday morning and found the victim in the parking lot. Authorities arrested 54-year-old Robert Earl Davis of Lawrence. He was booked into jail on possible charges of second-degree murder and cruelty to animals.

    No other information was immediately available.
