    The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police. Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further. Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    MANHATTAN, KAN. – 

    Officers responded to the report of a medical call in the 300 block of Eighth St. in Ogden on August 12, 2021, around 3:01 p.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they found an unresponsive 36-year-old female who was later pronounced deceased. The investigation is underway and an autopsy is pending. No foul play is suspected at this time.

    Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in Manhattan on August 12, 2021, around 10:58 p.m. Officers listed a 26-year-old male as the victim when it was reported a 26-year-old female damaged a Sanyo television and a Sony Playstation 5. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $800. Natalia Natividad Vallejo, 26, of Manhattan was arrested in connection for criminal damage to property. Vallejo is confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $1,000.
