    One additional COVID death in Riley County; 116 new positive cases

    Riley County is reporting one more COVID related death, bringing the county’s total to 58.

    One Riley County resident has passed away after testing positive for COVID-19.

    A 28 year old unvaccinated male tested positive for COVID-19 on August 13th and died on September 14th at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

    Riley County has identified 116 new positive Coronavirus cases and 143 additional recoveries since the last report on September 15.

    Seven COVID-positive patients are currently under care at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan. Of the five patients on the medical floor, four are unvaccinated. Two patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), one is unvaccinated.

    Total number of active cases in the county right now is 168. The positivity rate for last week was 5.6%, with the two week average at 5.99 percent, or 259 positives out of 4067 total tests.
