The new year is quickly approaching, and that means another year of celebrating the Manhattan community.
Vern Henricks, President of the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, tells KMAN the date for the Community Foundation Awards is set for March 21, 2022. He talks more about what the event will offer.
“An opportunity for us to share about the Community Foundation, little bit of a business meeting,” Henricks says. “But more than anything, to provide a lot of special awards to individuals that have done things, typically, in the last year, but we will probably do a little summary for the last two years that we haven’t been able to recognize people quite as much for.”
Henricks adds that the 2022 event will be a little more back to normal, as they plan to have the CFA’s in person.
“We are excited to plan for that to be an in person event again. We have not had it for two years. Last year’s was a virtual event, and so we are excited about being in person again and bring the joy of togetherness to Manhattan, in what is really kind of a special evening.”
The CFA’s are held each year to recognize those in the community have gone above and beyond. The 2022 Community Foundation Awards will be held the evening of March 21, 2022.
