    The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police. Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law as well as in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further. Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    MANHATTAN, KAN. – 

    Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 2500 block of Buttonwood Dr. in Manhattan on October 8, 2021, around 8:22 a.m. Officers listed a 48-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect threw a brick at her car causing scratches to the paint and shattering the rear window. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $700. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report for theft in the 1000 block of Lobdell Dr. in Manhattan on October 8, 2021, around 8:26 a.m. Officers listed a 28-year-old female as the victim when it was reported she ordered a buffet table online that was never delivered. The total estimated loss associated with this case is approximately $1,060. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report for theft in the 3800 block of Emerald Cir. in Manhattan on October 8, 2021, around 12:32 p.m. Officers listed Dell as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole a laptop from the front porch of the home that it had been delivered to. The total estimated loss associated with this case is approximately $2,500. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the intersection of N. 5th St. and Leavenworth St. in Manhattan on October 8, 2021, around 4:12 p.m. When officers arrived on scene they found a 2006 Hyundai Tuscon driven by Emma Beamer, 20, of Manhattan had hit a tricyclist, Edith Patulski, 80, of Manhattan. Beamer was issued a citation for an improper left turn. Patulski was transported to Via Christi for treatment of minor injuries to her legs and released later the same day.

    Officers filed a report for aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, domestic battery, battery, criminal damage to property, criminal threat, and violation of a protection order in Manhattan on October 8, 2021, around 7:54 p.m. Officers listed Dairy Queen, a 38-year-old female and a 38-year-old male as the victims when it was reported 37- and 38-year-old male suspects forced entry into the store while holding a “club” then chased the male victim outside and battered him and the female victim. Cornelius Lee Sisson, 37, and Kenneth Durell Dotson, 38, both of Manhattan were arrested in connect. Sisson was arrested for two counts of battery, aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, aggravated burglary, and criminal threat, he remains confined in the Riley County Jail on a $30,000 bond. Dotson was arrested for domestic battery, battery, aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, violation of a protection order, and aggravated burglary, he remains confined in the Riley County Jail on a $24,000 bond.

    Officers filed a report for burglary in the 200 block of S. 10th St. in Manhattan on October 9, 2021, around 11:35 p.m. Officers listed a 25-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect broke into his unoccupied room and stole cash. The total estimated loss associated with this case is approximately $3,400. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.     Officers filed a report for theft in the 600 block of 3rd Pl. in Manhattan on October 10, 2021, around 11:25 a.m. Officers listed Hy-Vee as the victim when it was reported a 48-year-old female suspect stole numerous food items. The total estimated loss associated with this case is approximately $730.

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 400 block of N. Main St. in Riley on October 10, 2021, around 6:24 p.m. Officers listed a 40-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole cash, ammunition, two Dewalt hand tools and a cooler with beer inside from his truck while parked at a gas station. The total estimated loss associated with this case is approximately $1,395. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.
