Christmas may be about five weeks away but they’re getting into the holiday spirit in Fort Riley.
Volunteers have begun taking donations of gifts or money to help make Christmas a little brighter for kids and their families by providing for local children of active-duty service members during the holiday season. Here’s Sgt. First Class Carlos Lane with more on that.
Sgt. Lane, who serves as the head elf this year says they are expecting to do better this year with the pandemic dwindling away.
Toys can be dropped off at Santa’s workshop at 1828 1st Street in Fort Riley. For more information visit their Facebook page at Operation Santa Claus-Fort Riley, KS.
