MANHATTAN, Kansas (Kansas State Athletics) – K-State freshman guard Brylee Glenn collected her first Big 12 Freshman of the Week honor while helping the Wildcats extend their home-winning streak to seven games with a career-best performance and then reached double figures against the top team in the nation on the road.
This is the second straight week a Wildcat has collected Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors, as Serena Sundell earned the honor last week.
For the week, the product of Kansas City, Missouri, averaged 12.5 points on a .455 field goal percentage while dishing out 1.5 assists, pocketing 1.5 steals and hauling in 1.5 rebounds.
Against North Dakota State on Monday, Glenn registered 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including 13 in the fourth quarter and helped K-State hold back a Bison rally and turn an 11-point K-State lead into a 21-point win during the final frame. The 15 points, six made field goals and two assists were new career-highs.
At top-ranked South Carolina, Glenn tallied her third straight double-figure scoring performance with 10 points and pocketed a career-high three steals.
In the last three games, Glenn is averaging 11.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals.
