MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers filed a report for aggravated criminal threat in the 2100 block of Poyntz Ave. in Manhattan on February 16, 2022, around 12:17 p.m. Officers listed a 16-year-old male as the suspect when it was reported he used an educational technology site, Padlet, to post a threat towards Manhattan High School. Daniel Marshall 16, of Manhattan, was arrested on February 17, 2022, around 11:30 a.m. for aggravated criminal threat and transported to the North Central Kansas Regional Juvenile Detention Center Facility in Junction City.
Officers filed a report for aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, and criminal restraint in Manhattan on February 17, 2022, around 9:01 a.m. Officers listed an 18-year-old female as the victim when it was reported a 19-year-old male pulled her hair, forced her to the ground and choked her, and prevented her from leaving a room by blocking a doorway. Cody Whitmore, 19, of Manhattan was arrested in connection for aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery. Whitmore was issued a total bond of $9,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for criminal use of weapons and minor in possession of tobacco in the 900 block of Poyntz Ave. in Manhattan on February 17, 2022, around 9:49 a.m. Officers listed a 15-year-old male as the suspect when it was reported he was in possession of metal knuckles and a vape pen at Manhattan High School East Campus. Karsten Anderson, 15, of Manhattan was arrested for criminal use of a weapon and minor in possession of tobacco. Anderson was processed through juvenile intake and released to his parents.
